Husband, Father, Brother (favorite by the way), Dog-Owner, & Photographer...
I love photography: simply put - it is my passion.
There are many different aspects of photography: I love collaborating with people, creating memories, capturing moments that will be passed on for generations and building new relationships.
Photography is a passion. I love to keep up with the latest trends & new equipment and I continue to learn by studying with nationally known photographers. In the end, my goal is to always provide photographs and an experience that can be cherished for years to come.
I live in Clarkston with my wife, Molly. We have 2 children: a daughter, 21 (well, almost) and son, 23. As they are 'out of the house', we have filled it back up with our 2 dogs: Stella & Nikki.
P.S. Thank you for considering John Ransom Photography & should you have any questions - please drop me a note. I look forward to working with you and your family.[/span10] [/row]
So, What's the Process?
The big day!!
Now is the easy part... With our pre-planning complete & everyone knows what is going to happen - we can focus on relaxing and enjoying our session photoshoot without the worrying about what to do.
For many of my clients, this is the first time they may have had professional photographs: don't worry - I will be there to direct and guide you through the session to capture the most natural looks. (even some 'off guard' moments that clients love so much...)read more
The Behind the Scenes Magic!
With the session behind us, the behind the scenes magic begins. I will narrow down the images from our time together in an effort to simplify the selection process. I will also showcase some of the photos in the style we discussed and begin to pull together a punch list of images for your review in preparation for "The Big Reveal!"read more
The Big Reveal!
Ta-Da! About a week after our session, the photos will be ready for viewing & the fun part begins. We will get back together and go through each image, deciding on the details. Do any changes need to be made, touch-ups or alternations/different look? After our in-person session, the photos will be uploaded to my website and open to share with friends and family for 10 days.read more
Get the Visa out - we're ordering!
I have learned over time that it is actually tougher for families to decide on an order with online galleries. Agonizing over proofs only makes the process more difficult. An in-person View and Order Session will give you a sense of accomplishment and help get the decisions done soon after your session, and you’ll enjoy your finished portraits that much more quickly. And I will be here to help you every step of the way!.read more
Wahoo - The your photographs are here!
Finally, the photo's have arrived! This is my favorite part of the process. The look on clients faces when they see the finished product is priceless from my perspective! Knowing that these will be displayed for generations to come, and that I played a small role in your family gives me goose-bumps.read more
